Safety and wellbeing

Your safety and wellbeing is very important to us, and we have a range of trained staff who are here to support you. Depending on the hall, residents have access to out of hours support in the form of helpdesk/resident assistants/on-site security. Campus security is also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide a safe and secure living environment.

Disability

A number of our rooms and studios in various halls are accessible and, if you'd like to speak with someone about which halls may be suitable for you, please don't hesitate to email the Accommodation Services team for further advice.

We hope to make finding the right room or hall for you as easy as possible. We work with the Disability team within ×îÐÂ91ÖÆƬ³§ to make sure that any medical adaptations you require will be included on your 'Reasonable Adjustments for study and assessments' (RASA) which can then be shared with us. You can start the RASA process by contacting the Disability team at gold.ac.uk/students/disability-support or by ticking one of the boxes in the 'Medical' section at the end of the accommodation application.

On your accommodation application you will also have a box to tell us any additional information you want share with us about your medical requirements or any other requests you may have. We then work with the Disability team who will look at your medical evidence and make recommendations to us for specific things we need to keep in mind when allocating you to a hall or room, whilst we also try to take to into consideration any other requests you may have made.

All our accessible rooms have already been allocated for 2026-27, but our team will be happy to advise you on alternative options. Please get in touch for more information.
